Off the water

Hi All,
On Monday, June 13, Good Morning Vietnam was hauled out of the water and put "on the hard". We waited until 4:00 so it was right at high tide, but unfortunately it wasn't slack tide. There was still a bit of a current to deal with. Add to that the dimensions of the boat are such I had to back in to where the lift could pick us up. I thought this would be no big deal as the current was going to push me one way and the natural prop walk would push me the other. No such luck. The prop walk didn't come close to offsetting the current. It took me five attempts and I finally got it in there after bouncing it off a piling. No damage done.

This is scary

This just doesn't look right

From here on, posts and pictures will be land based until we put Good Morning Vietnam back in the water in the fall.
